facilitated by Matt and Toni Tabora-Roberts
Saturday, September 22, 2007
1 p.m.-5 p.m.

6 max, so RSVP quickly!

Get back to "school" by learning a new "language!" In a playful and supportive environment using theater exercises, movement and freewriting, "Generate, Create, Communicate" will help you work both individually and collaboratively to generate ideas and create interesting, dynamic stories. Gifted with both kindness and skill, Matt & Toni will create a safe place for you to listen to yourself, cultivate your curiosity, and trust your instincts. You will find yourself able to explore new territory and push beyond the predictable and expected. Artists of ALL disciplines and anyone who wants to have fun discovering story is welcome. The only requirement is an open mind!

About your guides (two amazing people for the price of one!):
Matt Tabora-Roberts specializes in presentation skills, creativity training and teambuilding. His focus is on understanding how all of his students--both business students and theatre arts performance students--can unleash their full physical, creative and psychological potential. He uses elements from his training in classical theater, comedy improvisation, dance, clown, Commedia dell'Arte and experiential education in his high energy teaching style.

Toni Tabora-Roberts is an independent artist and non-profit consultant, bringing over 10 years experience in non-profit and arts work, primarily in visual, performing, media arts and wellness fields. Current projects include producing radio programs with APA Compass collective at KBOO Community Radio; writing features and reviews for The Asian Reporter; coaching students one-on-one to write original plays with PlayWrite Inc., and co-organizing the Asian Pacific American Film Experience in Park City, which celebrates Asian American filmmakers at the Sundance and Slamdance film festivals.

About the studio: Scarlet Star Studios offers a wide variety of opportunities for art exploration, with instructors who will encourage you to create fearlessly & truthfully in a familiar, safe and inspiring studio environment.
