We're looking for kind, courageous, generous people who want to make more art! We support people & places that encourage creativity, but we have hosted several types of events at Scarlet Star Studios: unique Artist's Way Creative Clusters, a guided art night each month, a free collage night each month, a wide range of inspiring workshops led by gentle & talented instructors, and independent support options for artists. Sometimes we have also hosted art supply swaps, labyrinth walks, art salons & other unexpectedly delightful opportunities for art exploration. Current events May 2014: Gretchin's short story "Tabula Rasa" has been published in the Bikes in Space anthology. May 12-18, 2014: This will be the fourth year for Sven's Northwest Animation Festival! With 17 events and 200 films, it's the largest animation festival in the U.S. May 23-25, 2014: The entire Northwest Animation Festival will be hosted in Eugene at the Bijou Art Cinemas. June 25, 2014: Gretchin will read her short story "Tabula Rasa" at bikes+books, a Pedalpalooza event. The full event runs 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Disjecta Contemporary Art Center. In addition to readings there is a bar/beer garden, an art show, and a photo booth! September 05, 2014: The Best of the Northwest Animation Festival will be hosted at the Hollywood Theatre. September 13, 2014: The Best of the Northwest Animation Festival will be hosted at the Bijou Metro in Eugene. ...previous events
