Today I created a "glory shot" for the beacon, where we get our first really good look at the aurora borealis effect. Happy realization: there's an easy way for me to tint the viewscreen -- which makes it more visually interesting.
Between the title card and the "deep history" segment, there are basically three sequences:
- the explorers discover the beacon
- they touch the viewscreen
- the beacon turns on
I've got the first four shots edited together now. The explorers have discovered the beacon.
Tomorrow I'll start work on getting the explorers to touch the viewscreen. ...The fools!
